Senior Project Radness

A few months ago a high school senior who I met while substitute teaching approached me about building a surfboard for his senior project.  We decided to take him on and teach him a bit about the craft of surfboard shaping. He was a quick study and after training him up on the basics, he was able to shape, glass, and sand a sick single fin on his own.  It's been fun to have him around the shop and it's great to know there are some young local frothers who have discovered the joy of surfing.  I can't help but be a bit jealous because making a surfboard is probably the best senior project I can imagine.  Congrats to Sean on a great first effort and for graduating high school to boot!
